Depending on $$$$ flow, will have work done on the '69...been in a body shop for a few years, mostly in storage.
The '75 will get new brakes, some carb work on the 3x2, re-adjust on the new mono leaf rear spring, and maybe if $$$$ are available, rework the original engine. It is in...
Well...a couple of things come to mind...
Scam/fake...everyone is being kept a big secret...it has a reserve so it can no-sale.
Or...have you watched the B-J auctions lately...several gloating gazillionaires who have more money than brains...bidding just to boast that they outbid the...
Wayback...What mfgr did you use...Peterson or Barjan, or other? And could you provide a short overview of what you did to convert the lighting system, ie: wiring connnections, any mods to the tail light module or the opening, possible ideas for what you plan to do for backup lights? Thanks, Marv.
I put a set under my '75 this past summer and had to cut and weld the forward ends to fit up square with the headers. Going through the tunnel was a bear to get alignment with the angle to the headers and the small area in the cross-member. Ended up with about a 1/4" clearance on one side of...
Thanks Chas...just what I need to rework the tail lights in my '69 widebody. Great write up and good pictures with notes. Really appreciate you taking the time. Thanks again, Marv.
As I haven't gotten a response yet, I thought I would update my question. I have searched various places, including ebay, and must not be putting the right words into search engines, because no luck yet. What I am building is a 3x2 set-up for an Edlebrock intake to fit my 350 engine...can't...
It's been awhile since I last posted...been too busy to even work on my project cars! Got a problem...I need main jets for my outboard carbs and haven't been able to find a retail source that can help me determine sizing. Mine are converted small base 2GC's with 0.50 mains.
Does anyone have...
Thanks Andy. Pop them over to me, via e-mail. I don't recall if I used my office address, I'll be at the office for a little while yet. If it goes to my home, I'll be there about 6:30 CST tonight. Thanks again.
That answers the question I had about the plugs. As stated earlier, these headers can go in from the bottom after the engine is installed, making that part of the changeover much easier. Dynomax looks like a good option, with fairly simple installation...have fun!
I just installed the Dynomax long tube ceramic coated headers on my 350 with a set of Edlebrock angle plug heads and didn't have any problems with the oil filter, however had the heads not been aftermarket with angle plugs, I believe there may have been plug problems. If that is the case, each...
Thought maybe others may be interested in this site for models: http://www.modelempireusa.com/. I haven't taken the time time to look at the site, but it will probably give everything the catalog does.
I also noticed that the hood is a short version, as he has the wiper door still installed. Something to know about if anyone is considering ordering one. It probably wouldn't take too much to fabricate the extension, but it may not have the right look after modifying it to make it a long hood...
Tom: I too spoke with Larry and took several pictures of the car. The wheels are Eagle 1's shod with 285/40R18 Dunlops in the rear. Didn't get the front size. The Hookers are powdercoated black for durability. Interesting car with skillful touches that aren't all of the chrome nature. You...
Dave: Several guys in my area are using the Rustoleum to effect. No one has indicated problems with heat, so I just painted the engine compartment in my '75 with the satin black. When you say "sort of" goes with your exterior color, I am assuming that you are talking about your '70 and...
Wow! To be back in the day when I had my '64 Coupe...
What I did was take a '63 kit and do what they did in the '64 production car- remove the bar! Or get a '65 model and do a little rework on the kit. Either way you can do a little work and paint it the same as your coupe. BTW...where in WI?
Joe78: Welcome aboard!! This is your first post...of many to come and you will find this forum has some real friendly folks. Take time to check out this site and read about the cars these folks have, because there are some real interesting ones.
You've done so much work to your '78 and have...
Hey 3 sharks! Welcome aboard!
This is what I work on in my spare time http://www.cardomain.com/ride/810541. I can't stand to have anything stock. Even my wife's '75 is about to fall from stock to an engine exchange, exhaust, and other cosmetics, although I will put everything coming out on...
Andy's right about the aftermarket unit. Did that once on a car I was flipping and had to putz with it before it sold. My '75 does not have one and I would have removed it if it had, just personal preference. The paint idea sounds good if you have one that is not in great shape.
The amount...
