Today, I got an email from this site wishing my husband a happy birthday. And that's when it hit me that this was another place he would visit and I didn't know about it. Scott passed away October 26, 2015. He had a pulmonary embolism which shocked us all. His 75 yellow T-Top now belongs to our...
I went with a set of Magnaflow's on my '75. The sound is low and not too loud so I can't hear my stereo, but loud enough to let everyone know a Vette is coming down the road. Hey.. Chip Foose recommends them!
And you can cut a coil off the front spring to lower the front.
"old school" method!
Otherwise, you can install airbag suspension to raise/lower your car.
If your running into the problem Checkist described.. check how the connector to the wiper switch is attached. I put mine on upside down once after I pulled my gages out to straighten out the wiring.. the wipers really acted screwy!
Could be they are just getting stuck. I pulled mine completely apart, cleaned/repainted everything. I didn't have your problem, but they work a lot better now!
You could have something simple as a bent bar (the long bar that the motor uses to move the wipers) or just not aligned correctly...
It is a total pita!
I used the stainless mounting brackets to mount mine, then glassed over the crack (on the front). I wish I had bonded them too. I still have primer on the nose & hood, but I do like the smooth look. I still haven't decided if I want to do it to the rear too (Rear panel...
I wrap mine in large towels, and keep them in the garage during the good months! Otherwise, they're on the top, or sit in the back with a towel between them to keep em from rubbing.
Mine were cracked from age... so I covered them with vinyl from a fabric store. Not the best looking, but until I get replacements, they'll do.
You can get foam too.. and cut it to replace the chunk that is missing. I used 3M spray glue for interior applications to put everything together.
Compare the old glass to the new.
I had a Ford Van that my wife shattered the drivers side window when her Seat Belt flipped off.
The replacement window was thinner that the original. Had to go to Ford and get OEM glass that fit.
There is a paper gasket in between the metal brackets. Yours is probably deteriorated (mine was). Just use the old one as a template, and cut a new one out of thin cardboard. If your plastic rivits are gone, you can use nylon screws (home depot) to replace them too!
Mine had the same problem. I went to Home Depot, got some nylon screws and replaced the plastic rivits. The paper gasket was easy to do.. just cardboard. Works great, and cost me $3.00 to fix!
