GerryLP, That's what the valve cover looks like, but the 71 uses a black rubber push-in oil cap instead of the traditional painted metal twist in cap like the 70. The hole for the push-in cap is round like the PVC hole and breather hole. So the right side cover has 1 hole and the left side cover...

It was more like a thick bead of silicon sealer than a glue. It formed a gasket that held the lens to the housing. I used clear RTV to put mine back together. Regards, Alan

The foam seal is applied to the lip of the compartment frame so that the bottom edge of the door pushes against it when closed. Various vendors sell the seal. Regards, Alan
