    The 75 is almost legal!

White 75, You have to keep a good attitude, otherwise what we do is pretty stupid. I mostly have scars on the back of my hands from trying to reach into places my hands don't fit. Carry On. Regards, Alan

Help! 1971 Corvette (basic 350 engine) Valve Covers

GerryLP, That's what the valve cover looks like, but the 71 uses a black rubber push-in oil cap instead of the traditional painted metal twist in cap like the 70. The hole for the push-in cap is round like the PVC hole and breather hole. So the right side cover has 1 hole and the left side cover...

    Question: Looking for rivets.

Dr. Rebuild has a good assortment of rivets and may have what you're looking for. There's a fastener dealer named McMaster Carr (I think) that has them, too. Regards, Alan

    72 Side Markers

It was more like a thick bead of silicon sealer than a glue. It formed a gasket that held the lens to the housing. I used clear RTV to put mine back together. Regards, Alan

1971 big block on the edge

Wow !!!! That's about as rough a car as I've ever seen that was still called a car. If you tried to make something out of what's there, I think you'd be so far upside-down so fast that you'd never recover even a decent part of all the $$$ you've spent. As it looks in the pictures I'm not sure if...

    70 vette

From the 70-72 NCRS Technical Manual...."In the first three to five days of production for1970 an alternate location for the stamped information was used. The number is above the oil filter on the side of the cylinder case just in front of the bell housing". You have a nice low production...

Pricing to do the underneath of a 69

I think both you and the fellow who's going to do the work are both talking in very general terms. This makes it so you don't know exactly what's included (bad for you), and, you don't know exactly what's included (good for him) !!!! He could be the perfect fellow to work on your car , but you...

Rear Compartment - Battery door seal?

The foam seal is applied to the lip of the compartment frame so that the bottom edge of the door pushes against it when closed. Various vendors sell the seal. Regards, Alan

    Curiosity1968-72

I think there are quite a lot of differences between the 68-72 cars and the 73-82 cars; so people have their own preferences. Personally I think the $$$ difference is worth it . While cost is a big factor for most of us I would encourage you to search for and buy the car you really want. The...
