In CA, anything older than 75 is smog exempt. So if it was me, I would buy a 75 or older corvette.
There is a few CA counties that do not require the every 2 year smog check.
Like Lassen, Siskiyou and Modoc County. I know this because I live in Siskiyou County.
Thanks again.. I didn't know that. That's what I'll do, set up a search. Thanks for turning me on to a new site I have never heard of before..... steve
For my 74. Any color. I am going to cut holes in them for speakers and paint black. Can get new repos for 75 shipped and was hoping to pay less. Include shipping to 96023. Thanks
Thanks for the links. I bid on a pair on ebay. Just for grins..:chuckle
If not, will try thru PartsExpress. Have you ordered them thru PExpress? How were they?
What about behind the seat? Also there would be room in front of the battery and in the jack compartment.
May not be good for the...
Interesting you bring up bass shakers. Have you ever known anybody to put these in their vette? Where to install, under the seat or in the seats I imagine.
Might be interesting to start a new thread on bass shakers... :cool
Anyway this is all new to me. Anybody have more info and a good...
Thanks Art, looks real good and gave me some great idea. Thanks for your time and trouble......:beer Now I will have to do some measuring on my 74 and start building....
steve....:D
Thanks emtmike, for the pic. Looks like a real nice setup and gave me some ideas on my 74. Liked the idea of room for T tops. Going to look at building something similar, but with room for sub. I would to have room for maybe a shallow 8" sub in the middle. Thanks again...... steve:D
thanks darkshark. That is a good idea. Is that box square or trapezoidal shaped? I can see that you cut the corner out to fit the contour of the wheel well. Looks real good. How did you hold the box in place?
Thanks Koop. Sounds good. Any pics? Did you have an amp? Any subwoofers?

I have heard good comments on this one from C3 owners. Let me know what you get and how you like it. I am interested in a solid thud in my bass. Thought I would try a 8" with an amp. I know it would be more...
I am working on a stereo for my 74 coupe. Would like a subwoofer and speakers behind the rear wheel wells. Anybody done this? Any ideas? What about a subwoofer in the jack compartment? Any pics? THANKS:_rock
Dumb question ? What about a conversion where you do not have the rag top? Only a removeable hard top. Would be a lot simplier to build and would be OK for someone that just drives the car in the summer...
Any ideas ? Thanks
