A couple years ago I started have problems with my 07 not shifting from park as it should. It’s still in storage for another month or so. I’ve seen all sorts of fixes while searching on Google, everything from breaking the locking mechanism, to replacing micro switches, replacing the shift and...
I am having the same issue with my 2007. I’ve seen fixes from destroying the locking device to replacing the entire shifter. Looking for some advice on a proper fix. Thank you!
There was a posting several years ago regarding some Corvettes left the assembly plant with the improper gear oil in the differential. The gear oil was either missing or there was not enough of the clutch slip additve in the oil. The problem resulted in difficult sharp turns. In that posting...
Back in 2007 or 2008 there was a post that some C6's may have had oil added that did not contain the additive for limited slip axles. I am trying to locate that post to get the part number for the correct transaxle oil. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!!!

Well, why didn't you say exactly what you just posted? There was no misinterpretation it was interpreted as it reads. " The Vettes are coming alive again!!" Well, far as I know for something to come alive again it must have been dead at some point. Not sure how that can be misinterprted.
LOL I thought it was because my post was just a couple of minutes ahead of your previous post and thought it was pointed in my direction. No hard feelings here.
Thanks
I was not disagreeing with your 1st post. I disagree with the 1st post of this thread "the Vettes are coming alive again". Since 1953 production of the Corvette has continued, there has been no break where the Corvette has been dropped from the Chevrolet lineup. So, again I agree with your 1st...
The Corvette has never been dead. The economy, gas prices, medical costs, etc. may have impacted sales & production of Corvettes, but even during these tough times sales & production continued.
Yes, there are ALOT of idiot Corvette drivers out there. When I purchased mine in 2007, the finance guy at the dealer told me a story about a previous sale at another Chevrolet dealership. A guy purchased a brand new C6 and 20 minutes later he was dead with the Corvette wraped around a tree...
I like how everyone hammeres on the tow truck driver by calling him an idiot, moron, etc. I completely with your comments, but funny how no one calls the Corvette driver an idiot, moron, etc for crashing the Corvette.
So, I'll be the 1st. The Corvette driver was a moron for running into the...
Just a simple one word question. WHY?
They tried a 4 seater Corvette in 1963 and the design staff hated it then and I would hope to hell that would hate before they even tried it. There are plenty of other hih performance GM's. You want a 4 seat sports get a CTS-V.

Below is the reply that I received directly from customer feedback @ Bowling Green regarding this issue. I have the same that happening to my 2007.
Dear Mr. Beranek,
We have heard of this and after some research, it appears to be the natural salts coming out of the leather/vinyl materials...
Below is the actual reply that I received from the Bowling Green Assembly Customer Care. I am going to give it a try.
Dear Mr. Beranek,
We have heard of this and after some research, it appears to be the natural salts coming out of the leather/vinyl materials. Using the distilled water is...
Just wondering if there are any other C6 owners experiencing the same issue that I am having with the dash and the door panels developing a light grayish/white coating over time. I am getting ready to park the car for the winter, but buy the time that spring rolls around there will be this...
Now days there are so many other things going on. There is the cell phone, on star, nav screens, GPS devices, reading all the info on the DIC, reading the head up display, text messaging, drinking a beverage, changing a CD or selecting a new song, tuning the satillite radio. Then there are all...
