I seen on youtube people revving their engines in neutral. I alway heard that revving your engine like this would damage your engine. Is this true, or just a old wives tale?.
In the near future, I'm looking to put a procharger on my 2001 Z06. I also heard somebody mention they put one in a d blew the engine the first time. I'll be putting on long pipe headers with a cross pipe. I'm already running with B&B route 66 mufflers and a hurricane cold air induction system...
I've already have the short shifter that came with the car. I do find it harder to shift, but very preside going into gear. Do they sell high flow cats, or are the stock ones good enough?
I was talking to a friend about adding more horsepower to my Z06. He had mentioned I can install a chip instead of adding a cam, or different heads. Is there different chips for different horsepower?. I'd be very interested in this, and who sells them.
I need to remove the center councel to remove my shifter:W. Is there an easy way to do this, or is this going to be a pain?. Let me know what tools I'll need and if there is any tricks on doing this. I need to look at if the last owner placed any greese on the stem of the shifter that goes into...
Got that ridiculous fuel saver thingy bypassed today......much better :beer. They also told me that it shifts too hard and I should take the councel off and see if the short shifter was greesed at the tranny :eyerole. Does anybody know an easy way of taking the center councel off without taking...
Hey everybody.....just got home with a 2001 Z06 I bought from the Poconos :happyanim:. Just had a question about the shifting:W. When I take off slow, I have no problem going into 2nd....but at a higher RPM, it wants to go into 4th and is very hard to get it into 2nd. Is there something I have...
Your right, my '81 is Beige/Dark Bronze, and I plan on learning all this C5's quirks first before trying anything stupid :beer. I know it's going to take some time learning how to control the extra HP, and the way it drives. I'll keep asking questions and learning as I go ;)
I first placed a thread in here about a black C5 coupe I was going to be buying :eyerole. I've decided to buy a Red 2001 Z06 with only 26k miles on it :happyanim:. I think this will be a better buy, and I'll try to keep the tires on the road....anything I need to know about this model???
Ok.....here's the thing....I've decided to buy a 2001 Z06 instead with only 26k miles on it :happyanim:. It's red with the black & red interior, and has a few little upgrades to it....but in perfect shape. Any advice????, besides keeping the tires on the road :L?. Thanks everybody for your help...
