Regular unleaded here in northwest indiana is now at 4.14 and e-85 is been @2.99 for the last 2 1/2 months. I work at a dealership and my demo is an e-85. If I fuel with reg unleaded and add e-85 at a 1/2 tank, then reg unleaded again at 1/2....just rotate the fuels I dont lose the fuel economy...
Needed 2 fronts a couple of months back and they were on "indefinate back order", found 2 in a couple of different places, just looked on www.tirerack.com and they are now available......rears are available 7/30/08.......
FIXED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:beer Steering column was bent, replaced the parts....not sure which the tech was gone when I picked the car up, but it was definately grounding out in the column:)
The insurance company FINALLy called me back and I told them of the ongoing issues, they made an appointment for me yesterday and I took it in, the tech was pretty sure that if he replaced the key cylindar and put the "origional" module in it it would be fine.....NOPE! They called late yesterday...
Thanks I called them and they we a great help, they told me call "call your adjuster" let them know I have been in contact with them and they said that if I felt I wasn't taken care of fairly they would "send them a letter" on my behalf. They would have 20 days to respond!
Anyone filed a diminished value claim against an insurance company? My car was smashed by a local detail shop last Oct. 2007, after about 14k in repairs and multy trips to the local Chevy store for an electrical issue, the car is still unreliable, it randomly throws the "remove key for 10...
No, it does not chime with the key out.....there next place they will be looking at (tomorrow) is the module in the drivers door and the harness that runs to-from the enging compartment........looking for a wireing schematic for drivers door on vette
With the key in the ignition and I open the door it does chime.......it's been 2 days now and I haven't got the remove key for 10 second message while inserting the key and starting with the drivers door opened.....I am going to have the chevy store next door (who cant find the problem) flash...
Ya, the car geve me the "remove key for 10 seconds" every time I tried to start the car (if I had removed the key from the ignition) If I leave the drivers door open when I put the key in and start the car I don't get the "remove key" message. I says the usuall corvrtte the after the car starts...
Charged the battery......."remove key" every time I took the key out.........I was DONE!......... Got in the car with the door open, pushed in the clutch, turned the key and it siad "door opened", and the car started....no remove key...........I have started the car 5 times (in a 5 hur period)...
O.K., after only an hour of charging it's down to 1 on the trickle charger, doesnt seem to be real short on voltage to charge that quick, I'm going to give it another hour and reconnect and see what happens......seems my boat takes a lot longer to charge back up when I run it dead.....sorry not...
Daughters boyfriend never made it last night so this morning is disconnected the battery, put in terminal bolts and threw the trickle charger on (yes I took the key out of the ignition) and WOW! I went to taking 6 amps!!!! Could this really be it? The battery was new in aug of 07 but was dead...
just one more question I dont think has ever been answered here.....anyone else who has this problem left there keys in it and not get the remove key message?
O.K., daughters boyfriend is disconnecting the battery as we speak and throwing it on the trickle charger........I'll hook it back up tomorrow morning....working until 9 tonight!
O.K., I called the local electronix place and asked about adding a "di-ode" to make the car "think" it has a remote start in it....thus the key in in the ignition....wha ya think?
