Question: Need Help Identifying Mystery Part

Found it. It was under the other fuel rail cover. Looks like the old one was never thrown away and just took the leap out of the car when I opened the hood. Thanks to everyone for your help. Another mystery about my Vette solved! - Blaine

Question: Need Help Identifying Mystery Part

Awesome. Thanks to everyone that helped with this. I took off the fuel rail cover, and found this: The Vette Magazine folks took a picture of the same area, and it looked like this: I'm not having any cruise control or AC/heater control issues, so this version of the vacuum check valve...

Question: Need Help Identifying Mystery Part

Hello everyone, Does anyone know what this part is and where it is supposed to be installed? It fell on the ground the first time I opened the hood on my 1996 Vette back in early February 2012. I forgot to ask about it then, and found it again while cleaning up some tools in the garage. I'm...

Question: 96 Fog Lamp Socket - Where to Buy

Looking for the connector that's attached to the wire under the bumper. I guess I mislabeled it when I called it the socket. I was thinking of it in terms of how other bulbs are installed. Thanks!

Question: 96 Fog Lamp Socket - Where to Buy

I found the bulbs, but not the sockets. Could you point to the correct link on their site? Thanks!

Question: 96 Fog Lamp Socket - Where to Buy

Hello all, Where can I buy a fog lamp socket for a 96 Vette? The dealerships no longer sell them, and I can't find them at any of the major Corvette parts dealers. Mine broke to pieces when I pulled the bulb out for replacement recently. Thanks, Blaine

Question: 96 Coupe AirBag Light / DERM Issue Help Needed

Fixed! Well, after pneumonia, overtime at work, and other life things, I finally got around to putting in the dual pole arming sensor. I put it in, started the car, and... ...no more airbag light! The dual pole arming sensor was the problem. Now I get all flashes, light on during key twist...

Question: Are these new door pins, and are they right? (Pic Heavy

Looks like you are right on the money! I've tracked the issue down to the weatherstripping. It's where the top inside weatherstripping of the door meets with the bottom weatherstripping of the A(?) pillar at the corner of the windshield. Every time I try to close the door, these two meet up, and...

Question: Are these new door pins, and are they right? (Pic Heavy

Well, I'm not quite sure if the doors have been rebushed or not. I'm hoping that it will be evident to someone from looking at the photos. You could be right about the weatherstripping. If it helps, it has been replaced all around the vehicle with new in the past six months. It's all crack-free...

Question: Are these new door pins, and are they right? (Pic Heavy

Are these new door pins, and are they right? (Pic Heavy) Hello everyone, While I'm waiting for the Dual Pole Arming Sensor for the airbag issue, I've been looking into the reasons my doors are difficult to close. Both will close all the way, but need a good push on the bottom half to get them...

Question: 96 Coupe AirBag Light / DERM Issue Help Needed

I ordered a used dual pole arming sensor a couple of days ago from Corvette Recycling. I should have it in the middle of this upcoming week. I'll get it swapped out and will report back. They had a good price and shipped same day, by the way. Seem like good folks.

Question: 96 Coupe AirBag Light / DERM Issue Help Needed

Tried this today with both plugs, light is still on. I still think it's the DERM or the dual pole arming sensor. All advice welcomed!

Question: 96 Coupe AirBag Light / DERM Issue Help Needed

Thanks man. I've got no issue with buying used, as long as it works. Hell, the whole car is used and 16 years old. Guess it can't be too bad to put in something used. :) Before throwing money at the problem, I'll be sure to check the DERM to make sure the dual pole arming sensor and all...
