They where loaded calipers, came with the pads. Advance Auto/Oreillys
I was doing the back brakes and two friends did the fronts.
Guy doing the one with the pads with the cooling holes assumed they all looked like that.
Took a lot of head scratching to figure it out.
My brakes pulled to the left after new calipers all around, PITA!
Turned out to be one of the front calipers was from Advance auto and the other was from Oreillys . The pads are different, one has the holes for cooling, after 2-3 short stops the Oreilly pad was fading and the Advance pad would...
Looking to put some clear film protectors on my fender flares after the new paint job. Anybody use these? Brand name and pictures would help.
The 30 plus years of driving really pitted up the old paint, looking to protect it this time.
Not sure about the power steering cylinder causing pulling to the right, after 3-4 hard stops did it pull any more or less?
My brake fade was really evident after hard stops, even going in reverse the wheel pulled.
Just did this, replaced all with loaded calipers, crossover line hoses etc.
Mine pulled to the left.
Answer was Advance auto only had 3 calipers, had to get one from Oreillys.
Differences in the pads, Advance pads are better than Oreillys.
Replaces ft pads with a full set cured the problem

This is from a 75 trubo 400, easy mod $30. Just got tired of the stuid black ball
I really don't know what a 81 shifter handle looks like so not sure if this will help.
