Posted a video to youtube. Roller Rockers LT1 running - YouTube Just finished purchasing and installing correct length push rods. Set up is LT4 hotcam, advanced induction heads (ported), new valve job, Comp Cams roller rockers, lashed to zero plus 1/8th turn, running method. Oil...
The location is on the back deck above the passenger side rear speaker (you can see one of the screw clips in the pic) and underneath the carpet and sound insulation. You need to remove the speaker cover, fold back the carpet (remove big black plugs) then peal back the insulation just above the...
Hello - While replacing some rear speakers this evening in my '92 convertible, I noticed some markings underneath some of the insulation / sound deadening material. It dawned on me that I was looking at a baseball bat and ball. I had to rub my eyes almost to make sure what I saw. No doubt...
Would it be possible to ask each of you to take a pic on how the new head unit looks in the dash? I have a '92 with the bose system and really can't stand it either, however, I'm concerned about how much a new aftermarket unit effects the total look of the dash. I'd prefer something that...
The limited reading I've done seems to point to the turbo's using exhaust pressure to a turbine, not heat differential. Unless I misunderstood your question. What is your thought on the ditto on air intake?
Read the dyno results on an LT1 Camaro - 271 to 385 HP, 269 to 382 TQ. Seems like...
Yeah, I agree on the concern for water getting sucked into the system. To overcome that, I was imagining the intake routed up inbetween the rear alum bumper support, something up and out of the way.
I was thinking you could do away with the spare tire, arrange the system so that the cover to...

My best friend's son approached me last spring and asked to borrow it for his prom. I thought, why not? It will make a good memory for he and his girl. However, I wanted him to be comfortable with the car, so I agreed to the arrangement provided he and I spent some time in the car...
Depends. If the light is sealed, you have no choice but to replace the entire light. Here's a link I found this morning at Autozone.

If you have the halogen replacement setup, you...
Well, since we're all being honest here, I also ran out of gas two weeks ago in my '92. ;stupid Same issues, althought I pay more attendion to the miles remaining. It still read 60 miles when it ran out, it did say reserve also. I agree will all that when it reads 1/2 tank, it's more likely...

Nice ride! I've got a 92 roadster, I noticed in your pics your sawblade rims looked super nice. :upthumbs :upthumbs What process did you followup to get them that way? I presume they are polished vs. chrome.
Thanks. Blaise

I confirmed the tapping sound originates where the rocker and the top of the valve meet. The noise is not coming from where the pushrod meets the rocker. I adjusted the rockers with the valve covers off, using the long funnel as a hearing amplifier. I was able to place the narrow...

I recently pulled off the valve covers, and adjusted the rockers. I used a clean long funnel as a hearing aid, with the wide portion close to my ear, and the narrow end to hone in on each rocker.
I found through this process that the tapping is originating where the rocker and the...

Still around? I was reading your posts tonight with keen interest. My '92 seems to have the same problem - noisey, tapping valvetrain. I am thinking lifters or valves. Wondering what you came up with for a solution. I have 58K miles on the car.
CCM H74
I have the same code on my '92.
CCM 1 H74
I have a shop manual, it states "Code 74 LED Dimming Output Circuit (Circuit open or shorted to ground).
I scanned the page. Let me know if you can read it.
Keep us posted on what you find out, I have not had the time to look into.
I also...
