Well, if you go with a 3.5" stroke instead of a 3.48" stroke, you get 380 instead of 377. I was originally looking at the 377 option, until I tried to find cranks, and it looks like most of the cranks that are designed for this purpose are 3.5" Joe

Well, clearly the standard 350 is an oversquare engine (1.149 bore/stroke ratio), but I was wondering what people think about going further. Say, bore a 400-block .030 over, then toss in a 3.5" stroke crank, for a bore/stroke ratio of 1.187 and a displacement just a hair shy of 380 inches...

You may want to check out John's Corvette Service, in Laconia. He doesn't list anything in your year range, at the moment, but he can be good at locating things. He's done work on my Shark, and I bought my Grand National from him; I've always found him to be fair and honest. Joe

Okay, I just replaced the cross-cable between the two hood latches. Random question: do I adjust it to be a dead-on fit, or do I go one notch tighter, so it's under a small amount of tension? Thanks, Joe

Well, I looked into it a bit more, and the DynoMax headers are not equal length, and are of apparently poor-quality construction. That bugs me, because I usually like DynoMax products... Joe
