    Info on Supermaxx, please

I just installed mine about a month ago and it went very smooth. The fit, finish, quality, and performance are worth the money. I did the install in my garage on my back with the car on jack stands. A highly recommended mod!

GM Denies Warranty On Oiled Air Filter Cars

Just a guess on my part, but I think that the oil coats the heated wires in the mass air meter and gives a false reading to PCM that in-turn makes the transmission shift or slip. I could see how oil on the heated wires would give a false load reading to the PCM.

GM Denies Warranty On Oiled Air Filter Cars

Anyone heard about this? The TRAP may have to go..... The following is a memo from GM stating the use of rechargeable air filters may cause transmission shift problems, engine driveability problems & SES Light On problems (throwing codes). It also states these problems will NOT be covered...

    Mobil 1 Oil filter

I would never go six years without and oil change. If you drive your car infrequently, you will sitll have to change the oil on a regular schedule. You can get extended OCI's by changing the filter and topping off, but should change the oil at least once a year.

    Window just quit

This happened to me on the passenger side on my '03 Z06. I haven't taken it to the dealer yet, but will try the 'shut the door and hit the window switch trick' first.

    Mobil 1 Oil filter

That is true of the Redline racing oils, but not the Royal Purple racing oils. This was a concern for me initially so I asked RP. They said it is more than fine to run their racing oils on the street. Redline did NOT recommend their racing oils for the street. I'm about to do my second UOA on...

    long tube headers

Dynatech makes the FLP's, but they are NOT copies of the FLP's. Dynatech started fresh and designed their own headers. LG Motorsports has made allogations that they are copies of his headers. I'll be buying them soon. They cost ~1480 with cats and X-Pipe.

    Mobil 1 Oil filter

Used oil analysis and OCI's I think that to accurately determine the correct oil change interval, a used oil analysis is needed. The condition of the oil can change based on many things. Some of the major reasons are: 1. Oil change interval 2. Season 3. Type of driving (highway, city) 4. Oil...

    long tube headers

I've been watching the Dynatech's lately. They look like a very good header for the price. Not many dyno's posted yet.

Adding Qt of Oil for Track - and Extracting?

This is a great question. I was wondering the same thing as I will be doing some track events this year. After searching many forums and reading many posts, the consensus is to add the extra quart as GM recommends for road racing events and then drain when you get home. Many racers, that have...

Roller Rocker & Roller lifter brands of choice

Comp Pro Magnums are excellent rockers. Crower aluminum's are also good. The Comps are actually lighter at the valve than aluminum rockers.

    Whats a QA1 shock?

If anyone is interested in the coil over Promastar or Ultraride converison for 88-96 C4's let me know. I have done the test fitting and will be installing my coil over conversion this weekend. I'll have an updated parts list and illustrated instructions once I do the install.
