You and I are in the same boat...I got the car I wanted (actually more than I wanted) and now all it does is sit in the garage...I don't drive it because I'd worry about it more than enjoy it when its out on the road. Sometimes I wish I would have got a non...
replacement cam
I'm looking to get a replacement cam for my mostly stock LT-1. I would like to stay as close to spec as original, but also wouldn't mind gaining a few extra ponies...
Any suggestions?

Those are they guys who ran the auction...
I also spoke to the guy who owned the car I mentioned, I think his reserve was somewhere in the mid 50's...I thought it was way overpriced as well.
Good luck in your hunt.

Saw a '72 LT-1 AC 'vert at Carlisle going up for auction...bidding went up to around 45k & didn't sell. Very nice car, I forget the name of the auction co., but maybe if you got a hold of them, they could put you in touch with the owner? The color was like a silverish green...all #'s match, etc...
I would hope that the manufacturers of aftermarket exhaust systems & muffler shops also jump in on this & lobby the legislature to put a stop to this...they stand to lose a lot of $$$...especially if other states follow suit.
Assuming the block & casting numbers are correct...what is an easy way to tell if an LT-1 has solid lifters? Yes, I know all LT-1's came with solid lifters, but how do you tell by looking at the engine?

So I started playing around...I found that if...
I was reinstalling my tank the other day & thought I'd share some tips for those of you how are gonna be removing/installing your tanks. I've read other posts where some guys placed jackstands or used jacks to lift the tank into place. I tried this & it was a pain in the butt...It gave me less...
I'd like to build a garage/large storage shed underneath my deck...as cheaply as possible. I'm not looking to have insulated, just dry.
I have a 10x20' to work with & have about 8' of height. I need advice on how to waterproof under the deck. How do I keep it dry without building another roof...
I believe the CE is a warrenty replacment block, at some time the original engine must have been replaced.
Where abouts in NH are you? I can't believe I missed this one...I can usually smell an LT-1 for sale a mile away.
Do you have the tank sticker and/or have you looked for it?
I will be...
According to the NCRS Tech guide, you should have a RC-15 cap. The top is plated bright silver cadium. The cap should read "TURN RIGHT" & "REMOVE SLOWLY". You should see an AC logo in one circle & RC-15 in another circle (with symbols 15# and RC-15).
