Hello all! I am interested in an LT1 convertible. '72 air car would be nice, but I am open to other options. Prefer one that is not Warbonnet Yellow, Elkhart Green or Daytona Orange. Want something original, and a solid, straight, real, honest-to-goodness LT1. If anyone is aware of one such example, and can point me in its direction, I would appreciate hearing about it. My email address is dwagaman@mpli.net.

Thanks for your help!

Saw a '72 LT-1 AC 'vert at Carlisle going up for auction...bidding went up to around 45k & didn't sell. Very nice car, I forget the name of the auction co., but maybe if you got a hold of them, they could put you in touch with the owner? The color was like a silverish green...all #'s match, etc...

Thank you. I was at Carlisle, and must have missed that one... I saw a '72 air car, convert., in the car corral, but thought it was overpriced, as it needed quite a bit of work. However, it appeared to be all there. Asking was 34K, but it would have needed a bare minimum of 15+ to get it right.

MECUM

Those are they guys who ran the auction...

I also spoke to the guy who owned the car I mentioned, I think his reserve was somewhere in the mid 50's...I thought it was way overpriced as well.

Good luck in your hunt.

Thank you, Tony.

There is a guy here in San Diego who may sell his 72 Sunflower yellow/black leather LT1 vert. Block is correct replacement. He wants mid-20's.

Email me if interested.
