I always use 91 octane. Might run OK on less, but never any trouble with the 91.

I will be getting my C3 painted in the next few months and need to replace the rear bumper cover before I do. It is a little warped/distorted from age and sun. Anyone have any experience with the fiberglass replacements ? Or just go with another poly. Seems they are about the same price. ($300)...

I have 255/60 -15 BF Goodrich Radial T/As on my 1980 C3. I don't feel any steering problems at any speed.

I need to replace my gas cap on my 1980 C3 with a locking cap. Do I need the vented or non-vented type ? Thanks

I live in Eastern NC and got two quotes for a complete paint job, including chemical strip. $1800 and $2000. Now I'm wondering if these guys are crazy after seeing the posts for a $5000 paint job. I know you get what you pay for, but the guys I talked with are not Macco. Good local shops...

Bone stock ? ... Keep the original color....just another opinion

For cold weather driving I would use the 5W-30. Just another opinion........

Speedo I, too, have 255/60 15s on my 1980. Any of you mathematicians know what the speedometer correction would be ? I need new tires also and may go back to stock size 225/70 15. Waddayathink ?

It sounds like this is a common problem for these year models. I spoke with an experienced mechanic and he said he has changed many of the controllers. Wouldn't surprise me to find the same. Thanks for your help. Dick

Me2 My 1980 is in serious need of paint. The top areas were neglected and now almost white. It is code 75L. The paint is also cracking/crazing. One body shop said I needed to do a chemical strip and them prime/paint. Does this sound right or can I sand and paint ? Thanks

Recently bought a 1980 and I'm having trouble with the fan. No fan in any position. Replaced the fuse and looked at the switch assy. All seems OK. Any relays or anything else to check ? Thanks.
