I had Kumhos on my 88 before and liked them so much I bought a set for my motorhome. Really great tires for the price.

Here's a pic of my 88 with 11 x 17 and 315's. They stick out ever so slightly. Also, I have to disagree about the Sumitomo's, I think they are an excellent all around tire, performance included. I have to admit tho, I am not a track guy so that may be what others are referring to.

I have a 7,000 lb four poster from Direct Lift. It fit my needs perfectly, was affordable, easy to assemble and is a nice stable lift.

It actually does, I put an old sheet under it just to be sure nothing dripped on the vette. :)

Two years ago, I stripped my 88 wheels and refinished them. I used a stripper called "aircraft stripper", got it at autozone. Wet sanded and polished the wheels and did not replace the clear coat. Just use a good aluminum polish to keep them looking nice.
