That's a good idea. The car has 155K on it. It's my daily driver. It had started getting hard to shift the day before. I was thinking my clutch was wearing out. It has 60K on it. It was hard to shift in all gears. I think I just forced it into 1st a little too hard and snapped it. I had planned...
We got the side cover off and the 1-2 Shift Cam shaft that goes through the side plate has sheared off just inside the plate. I've got a couple leads on where to find this part, but does anyone know of a reputable supplier. The 1 place I have found it has not replied to me yet. ;shrug Thanks for...
I have run 335-35-17's on my 86 coupe. I have the chromed 91 ZR-1 rims 9.5 X 17 Front and 11.5 X 17 Rear. I now have 315-35-17 on the rear due to availability issues on the 335's. I have a ground f/x body kit on mine so they don,t stick out and look retarded, as Hib pointed out. I have had no...
Just wondering if any of you had any luck removing the plug. I bought the Snap-On 3/8 drive socket, but that never had a chance at budging it out of it's hole. If anyone has any other suggestions, I would sure like to hear them.
Thanks C4Tom. And you guessed it, no instructions and the Gm Shop Manual was no help at all. I feel the same as you on direction, just looking for a little validation.
I'm in the middle of the clutch job. Time to install roller pilot bearing.
Which way does it go???Bearings toward engine or bearings toward tranny.
Thanks:confused

Mpg
I got 28 mpg on my last trip to Dallas. My average is about 60% hwy. 40% city and it's usually 21.7 mpg. Unless, I'm in a bad mood,:lou then it's about 15 :D
Dunlop SP Sport 8000
I think they will be fairly sticky, but with limited life. They have a 200 wear rating and A's on traction and temp. My brother-in-law managed a Corporate-owned Goodyear Service Center here in Hot Springs until they closed it two years ago. He opened his own independent...
Oops
Yeah, you're right I did mean ALDL and I'm pretty sure its his 86. At least that was the impression I was under. I have the 86 shop manual with the electrical layout. But, Im no engineer either
I just put a set of Dunlop SP Sport 8000s on mine. The price was reasonable and I like the footing I'm getting. The main reason though was they have the 335/35/ZR17 available for the rear. I run 275/40/17s on the front on chromed 92 ZR-1 rims. 17 X 9.5 front, 17 X 11.5 rear. I have always run...
Crispy Cluster
Thought I better post this on your new thread. If you have a GM Shop Manual the color-coded wiring diagram is in the back Section 8A-82-0. Oddly enough it shows Pin E on the ALCL going out as Serial Data Output by way of the ECM. Hope this helps some , but I can't seem to find...
