    Motortrend 1993 article (interesting read)

I owned a 93 Z07 torch red coupe and it was one helluva car for autocrossing. Sold it to buy a 98 C5. Disappointed in the handling on it.

    Help! Where to order parts...

Based on all the quotes on social media, I would definitely stay away from Corvette Mods. There has been nothing good to say about them. Mid-America, Paragon, Zip, and Corvette America are all very reputable companies. The cheapest prices from shoddy suppliers can end up being the most...

Jim Mero Magnetic Ride Control Upgrades

Uh, yea. Long time GM test driver(retired) that has set many records with Corvettes at the Nurburgring. Several of my friends have had the upgrade and swear by it. They say the improvement is unbelievable. I suggest you Google him for a complete bio.

Okay, I can live with that name. It does fit as every time I go out the Z is swarmed with bees. I think they may believe it's the biggest babe they have ever seen.

    For Sale 2019 ZR1 wheels

Great looking wheels. Should last a lot longer than stock. Had to replace both back wheels on my Z06 due to multiple cracks. Sorry about the name. I'm sure I can come up with something better. Never meant to slur a yellow Corvette.

    Question: MagRide Shocks

Tuna, check with Rock Auto. Prices are around $400 each for the mag shocks. With a willing mechanic you should get out for less than two grand. Mariano

C4 Z07 option how to tell

How I loved my 93 Z07. What a great autocross car it was. So sorry now that it left me years ago for a 98 C5. Someone somewhere has a unique Corvette and I just hope they appreciate it for what it is. Torch red on black coupe with six speed. Sob.

Blue Bullet Blog-The C6 Ownership Experience

Hurrah and yippee. The Bullet is back home again in California (to paraphrase Indiana). I sucked in a few cubes of air when I read that you had used over a quart of oil in that leg. Glad to hear it leveled our. Just break in period I presume? Question, did you get a new warranty with the...

1979 center instrument cluster and radio removal

Nigel, welcome to the CAC. I had a 1979 coupe (black/white interior) and I loved it too. I did many repairs to it but was never brave enough to tackle the console so I wish you loads of luck. Take good care of her in jolly ole'. Best regards,

Blue Bullet Blog-The C6 Ownership Experience

Okay Hib, you have had the Katech engine for a few weeks now and it should be well broken in. Have you had an opportunity to make a fuel mileage run on the road, town, and combined? Not that anyone with that engine should care about fuel mileage. Also, how is the idle compared with the...

Blue Bullet Blog-The C6 Ownership Experience

Careful going home in the cold. I will give you a call later on to discuss the Katech options available. I spent three years working across the street from the AF museum. It is a terrific display of aircraft. That engine looks killer in the photos.

    Ludvigsen on board

Karl, welcome aboard. I finished volume 1 of your Corvette, America's Star Spangled Sports Car and was wondering where volume 2 was in the pipeline. Anyone wanting to know anything about the Corvette needs this book on their bookshelf. By the way, I still have the second edition of the...

    Help! loud interior noise

Is it a manual transmission? If so, check the bushing in the shifter.

Blue Bullet Blog-The C6 Ownership Experience

Okay, now I am jealous. This is the engine that should be in the C7 Grand Sport. I would be driving one now if that was the case. Of course, it would be yellow.

    Help! Z06 shift issue

I had a bad vibration with noise to match in my 2007 Z06 and the problem was a broken plastic bushing in the shifter. The shifter was replace under warrantee and I was told a better bushing had been put into production as this was a known problem. Check for a TSB on this problem.

1989 Z51/FX3 - 9,300 miles. New to CAC Forums; Sharing

Congrats on a great car. With the low miles you should have years of enjoyment from it. I had an identical (almost-it was bright red) 1989 Z51/Fx3 Corvette and loved driving it. Great for autocrossing. One thing to look out for, the power brake vacuum canister was prone to failure that year...
