01 side trim...

I'm about to buy an 01 vert that has the side trim 'spear's on the side and I want to remove them.

Anyone had any experience with removing these without harming the paint, etc?

Folks saw them off with fishing line and clean off the mess with Goof Off.

It's no problem removing them as jrose outlined, but if your paint is sun faded at all, you'll have an outline of unfaded paint where the spears (actually called "Body Side Moldings" or BSMs) used to be.
