I know ultimately I'll make my mind up but just asking. Would you folks trade an '04 (13,000) for an'05 (with low miles) if the deal was right or wait and see what they do to the next one meaning '07 excluding the Z06. Is GM calling the ZO6 an '06 and does that mean that's the only Corvette they'll produce for '06?

Thanks,
wwr

They are calling the new Z06 an '06 model. They will also be making the regular coupe and convertable in '06 as well. Very few Z06s will be made compared to the regular 'vert and coupes. Personally I would keep the '04 you have now. I like the C5 much better (looks wise). If you are getting an itch for more hp, there are lots of options you can take, but most void your warrenty I believe. Hope this helps.

I'd wait until the C6 has been out a year or two! Just my .02!:beer
I Agree!
I bought a new '04 at the end of the model year when they had the huge discounts and great financing. Considered a new '05, I do like them, but decided to wait a couple of years for the bugs to go away :)

Once they get the bugs out, and if they can come up with something for the front plate (live in a front plate state :( ) then will more then likely get a C6.

I have chime in and agree with the band wagon. The new c6 is still very viperish looking. I would waite until they add some of the features from the z before investing because if its going to look like a vipor it better beat the vipor, otherwise its just a wanabe.

You would get more for your 04 now than if you wait another year. The C6 has been labeled by many car magazines as the best corvette ever. If you get a good deal, I say go for it man. The new look of the C6 is amazing plus you get a 400 HP engine.

Others in the thread have emphasized that a new car generation would have bugs in the first year, but this one hasnt been drastically changed from the C5 and therefore one should not expect these bugs. I'm yet to hear anyone complain about anything in the C6.

Like I said in the begining, if you wait until the newer C6 model, your 04 value will depreciate and you would loose money.
