1/4 Mile Improvement with change from 2.56 to 3.42?

Has any member run their totally stock C6 at the track, with auto and 2.56 gears, and then changed to 3.42 gears and run again? I'm wondering what elapsed time/mph improvement the axle ALONE was worth. Thanks.

I have not made this change, but I'm going on my past experience "back in the day" . The 3.42 should give you better times in the 1/4. The car will suffer a little in the gas mileage department on the road though.

Hopefully someone who has made this change will jump in here and tells you more about the change.
