Is anybody out there running 1.6 R.R.'s on a stock roller camed L98?

I just won some on ebay and will be putting them on soon. Too cold in N.H. and I don't have a garage yet. I hear that they are good for some extra horsepower. Don't know how much but will soon find out!

There are a lot of members here to run it. I believe it could potentially add 10hp or so? But I also believe that it moves that power to the upper band where you may not feel it with the limits of the TPI system. Someone will chip in soon enough.

Hello!!
I have 1,6 RR on mine, and it just work nice, not a seat to panty difference, but revs a little better, I have this together with siamesed base and double 3" ext. Works great.

I have a set on my 84 with a ported manifold. Easy install. The only issue is checking the pushrod clearance on the stock heads. They are tight and you may need to open them up a tad. They do make a difference, to what extent I am not sure yet. It will require tuning or you can kick up the fuel pressure a little for some extra go juice. I will be tuning mine with a VAPFR once my diaphram and spring arrive. I also have a Prominator so the tuning will go a lot easier.
