I came across this one, It has been for sale, for YEARS and would make for an interesting car however, high miles, different wheels (should have Dymags - and he does not, in an e.mail I rcvd.), as well as, aftermarket exhaust (Flowmaster)

Seems to have only gained about 3k mi in the past couple years - Surf, Don't you know this car?
If so, what was the deal??

Yea, I saw this car back in 1998 I think. Back then the paint was in poor condition. The car hadn't been wrecked but the paint was just really worn out. It was absolutely the most awesome sounding Vette Ive ever heard. It does indeed have Flowmaster exhaust.

The owner, while a nice guy, isn't really knowledgeable about realistic price points on these cars. He wants or wanted 31k for this one.

All in all this would make a great daily driver, at a price of under 20k

I looked at the car a couple years back when the original owner was selling. Ended up he was only a mile from my house. Dr. that commuted a long way each day. Pretty tired car, but someone I know picked it up and went thru it. Havent seen it since. Does sound high

The good news is..

at least they can take the miles :beer When you think about it that's probably less than average miles for a daily driver. Be interesting to know what's been replaced over the years, turbos? how many clutches? any Callaway specific problems.

Wonder how many Ferraris have covered that amount of mileage? ;)

Wow - One MILE from your place :eek Didn't you mention there are a few other Callaways in your area??

I do not think the car had been driven that much over the past 3 years (it has been advetised for sale that long)

For the right price, that would be a fun car to rack some more miles on :upthumbs

The guy that owns the car state when I spoke to him that he restored Vettes and especially Callaways. Who knows.
