First pry off the horn button, then remove the 3 screws holding the receiver cup assembly to the steering wheel with a small screwdriver (I think, could be a small socket you need). Then remove the large steering wheel nut -- probably has a washer, too. Then you'll need a steering wheel puller pull the wheel off the shaft -- you can get one for fairly cheap at any auto parts store. Make sure you put a mark on the wheel and retaining "cup" so that you put the wheel back where it was -- if it's off by one spline it won't line up.
I've replaced my "blinker switch" at least twice and still can't get mine to "center" itself after making a turn. If the turn signal lever doesn't center itself after making a turn the brake lights will not function properly - one of them will not light up when you it the brakes. I am either (a) doing something wrong, (b) not lubricating the mechanism correctly, or (c) getting crappy parts from the repro supplier.
