1963 Corvette

Does anyone know of someone that restores 1963 shifters? The one in my car was removed and a hurst Indy was put in. The dash was cut to make it fit and the boot was screwed to the dash. The console is now ruined and will have to be replaced. I have the orginal shifter but the "T" handle does not have a spring return. The shifter looks to be in good condition except for this. The parts catalogues offer a replacement shifter w/ cable. I do not know what that is for or what it connects to. The shop manual and assembly manual do not show it.

You might try Ed Hartnett 610-623-9381 (PA) ... he rebuilds Corvette T-10 trannys, but I don't know if he does shifters.

Thanks for the info. I looked at their site and they only had diagrams of the 1964 and later shifters. They did have a shifter and spring in stock. I will give them a call maybe they can advise.
