I have been making steady progress on my 63 SWC restoration project.

The frame has been sandblasted, coated with PPG DP_90 and coated with a low sheen black urethane.

The chrome is done and was picked up early last week.

The rear suspension and differential has been rebuilt and installed on the chassis.

All the rims have been sandblasted and painted a gloss black.

The engine is total rebuilt and should be married back to the chassis next week.

The Muncie 4-speed transmission has been check out and cleaned and every thing seems to be OK.

The front suspension has been installed on the chassis.

Ray, Looks great. I can just feel that this is going to be your best project ever. I am amazed at your progress. Did you get your chrome done in NY? Good lock with the next phase.

Whoa whats this another garage?

This just aint right with all of these garages you have.

Looks like you have all of the goodies in it. I commend your progress.

So quick question I know you have alot of room in your garage but would you suggest to someone on limited room to get one of the parts washers. Does it smell up the place when not in use

Hi! Gary

I used the same company that I used for the other two projects. They told me that they would re-work the 61 bumpers at no cost to remove the rust for the inside of the bumpers so I gave them the job. The exterior quality is what I was looking for.

Hi! IH2LOSE

I use mineral spirits as a cleaning solution and there is a light order but not bad. The area that I have the part washer in is 26' X 28'. If I wasn't cleaning the parts for a whole car or when I purchased it two cars I would just use a plastic tub and mineral spirits. I could then filter the spirts and place it back in the plastic containers when done.
