This number is stamped on the transmission near the cover. Does anyone have a way to identify it?

Looks like a VIN derivative for a '66 Chevelle built at Lakewood, Georgia.

It didn't come in a Corvette, although it's functionally identical; it was "born" in a Chevelle, and found its way to your car when a previous owner replaced the original transmission. Not many Muncies are still in their original "home" cars, but transmission and axle "numbers" aren't judged in NCRS Flight Judging.
