New member/new Corvette owner here, thanks for letting me be part of the group. I just got my 1966 Convertible 327/300 home and have been enjoying some drives when the weather cooperates. I bought the car online and had an in person inspection done by a 3rd party. Inspection write-up was very favorable.
I have 2 "concerns" now that I have the car at home. She rides low in the rear/high in the front, which I had noticed in photos, and the passenger frt tire rubs the fender at full left turn.
I understand the potential fixes for the stance, which I'd want to fix to help the appearance and probably the ride. But I'm trying to understand if the rub is something I'll need to worry about. Measurements tell me that the fiberglass body is not sitting squarely on the frame, and with the nose shifted to the passenger side, it's bringing the fender closer to the wheel. My searching tells me that this may be fairly common? Photo shows pass wheel turned full left nearly touching. Driver side has about an inch clearance when it's turned to the same condition.
