I'm helping a freand of mine with his 71. Were putting the dash back togeather and found the wipers not working. After checking the wiper switch I found it was a grounded switch in all positions but one of the leads coming to it was hot. I have a wiring diagram and see it going to a solinoid and relay. Were does it switch from ground to hot. Maybe I'm having a senior moment. Thanks for any help.

Quick update,After tracing everything out the line to the override switch under the steering column was disconected. Man the 71 wiper circuit is alot more complicated than the one on my 65. Still fun to figure it out.

I gopt to thinking about that yesterday and that meay be it. I could not find one for a 69 and they gave me a 70+ model. I will chech that tonight. Is that were yo were picking up the hot? What did you find wrong with the overide switch?

Thanks

Don

It wasn't bad just disconected. It completes the total circuit. If your wipers are not working first check to see that the switch is grounded even if you have to hook up a ground to it to check it. Second check the ground to the wiper motor itself. 9 times out of ten on a vette its going to be a ground problem. Start there and let me know.
