I was reading one of my Corvette books and noticed that in 1974 the government created a law that required cars to not start if the seatbelt was unbuckled. Then in 1975 the law was lifted so that feature was only on the 1974 Corvettes.

Who still has this feature on thier 74 and use it everyday? Who bypassed it?

I still use it on the 74. Works great but is kind of a pain in the butt. If i'm doing some work on the car ,i have to get in and buckle up to start the car. Dave :w

As I recall, the 74 override seat belt button/switch is under the hood; passenger side; on the upper firewall.

Is a pain to get out, open the hood, push the switch, etc.
