I have a 75 convertible and was told the horn button on units without tilt wheels had a squared outside edge that was chromed. The one on my car has a tapered edge that is painted the same color as the column. This is the only color/style that I have seen on all non-tilting columns.

Has anyone seen the chromed horn button? If so, will you post or send me a photo of it.

Thanks in advance for your time.

Eric

Looking at the ZIP cataloge, it shows no chrome on your horn button, painted on the outside, crossed flags on the center. Tilt button is the same coloring, but a different button.

I can't recall the model year, possibly '75, but a polished (not sure it was chromed) horn button was introduced, then recalled due to sunlight reflections. Replacement buttons were painted.

:)

Mike,

Thanks for the information. I did some follow-up and learned the button and recall you referred to occurred in the early 1977 model year.

I still haven't seen a chromed or polished horn button for the 1975 model.
