I have owned my car for about 2 years now. Was completely stock but I have added after market stereo (540 watts), 100 amp alternator, optima red top battery. I have new fusible links and new wiring to starter.

I have continually had small glitches such as my battery not being charged
(alternator is putting out voltage). I believe I have finally found a short in the overhead courtesy light that was draining the battery.

Any way I am contemplating replaceing my dash harness wires and possible the under hood harness.

How big of a hassle am I looking at on a car that is currently together.

Other options I am thinking of....upgrading my alt. to batt cable to 4gauge. Changing out my non working center gauges for digital gauges and avoiding the entire wire harness mess.

Any one have suggestions or comments...............

I'd find the glitch before considering a harness change. Its probably you dimmer module thats causing the problem.
