1977 dark blue L48 auto.
I recently purchased a dark blue '77 that has white and blue interior. The seats, door panels, sunvisors and trim are white...everything else is blue.

My trim tag has code 272, which is for blue leather (code 112 is for white). Should a two tone white/blue interior be coded for blue interior or white?:confused Any help is much appreciated.

There was a combination white interior package for the '76 models which sounds like what you describe, but I'm not sure the combination was available on the '77s.

'76 Firethorn and white.

I had a friend in High School that had that interior. It was a very odd combination

It might be his car. This pic was posted a while back and I stole it.
:D
It was owned by a friend of a female persuasion :) But it looked just like that with the deluxe wood grain paneling. It had a red exterior.
Couldn't have been a popular option in my opinion (but it was the 70's)

That '76 has the same color scheme as my '77...except my car is dark blue where that car has red (firethorn).

I agree, it does sound weird. But it kinda looks good on a dark blue car. The trim code (272=blue) on the plate in the door jamb still baffles me, though.

Does anyone know if the white interior (code 112) is for a car with all white interior?

I think the interiors were all one color, someone has replaced the seat cover and door panels to give it this look. I have never seen a stock interior in more than one color.

For the most part, the white interior packages were never 100% white. Carpet, dash, center console and ebrake console were carpet color. Door panels and seat upholstery were white. Technically, the white package, when it was available, was actually a two tone.

This pic has popped up this moring on another forum:

77 interior

My 77' has interior code 152= smoke grey, however it has white seats, door pnl"s and trim, they could be special ordered this way.:)

'77s with two tone interiors are quite legit, there's six different combos listed in my references. The second interior colour was coordinated with the exterior colour, (ie blue with blue) but the trim tag code still reflected the basic interior colour, 122 for white as an example.

OK...so what you're saying is the interior color listed on the trim tag is for the color that matches the exterior, but the white parts were some type of option?

All this time I thought my interior was supposed to be 100% blue because my '77 has trim code 272 (blue leather) on the tag, not 122 (white). I guess all of the 122 trim coded cars have 100% white interior? With the exception of the carpet, the console side panels, the dash, and the seatbelts (which are dark blue), everything else is white...including the sunvisors. The paint is dark blue (code 28).

Funny how there's no mention of two-tone interiors for '77s in the Corvette Black Book.

Does anyone know if this is a rare option?

white interiors

In corvette centerals parts catalog, they do show two tone color comboe for 77' interiors, White\Blue, White\Black, and White\Gray. I have seen some sites that mention these interior combos. Rare? don't know, but I haven't seen many with white Leather.

Your car contradicts what my reference docs say, but that's not the first error I've found.

The black book is not complete or 100% accurate either.

Edit:

I read my book again and came away with a different meaning that now make sense. You should have a 28/272 trim tag. This agrees with the book.

A white car with a white two tone interior would show 10/112. The second interior colour with this combo was smoke-gray.
