1978 C3 steering too tight, too sensitive

When the tires are grossly over-inflated the steering becomes REAL quick and you feel every teensy-tiny bump in the road.

If I run my tires at 17-20 psi it feels like I've got four flats and I'm on ice. Glad it works for you though.

In the interest of giving accurate and correct info vs, the opinion of 'some guy on the internet', here are the GM tire pressure recommendations for 1978 Corvettes with 225/60/15 tires. Their recommendations are 20F/26R for normal loads and 29F/32R maximum, just about where I keep my tires.

This is considerably greater than the numbers given by another poster above. We all know the perils of running tires seriously under inflated, but each to his own.

I think the best advise here came from GTR1999 to not debate tire pressure.
