Hi Anyone know what color the red pin stripes are on the wheels

I think he means the color code.

You might be able to find the color code in a 1978 NCRS judging guide.

OneHotV6, your answer coming from Bundy's picture is great...I can picture him saying that with his hand in his pants...:D

The way the question is written, I just had to reply with that answer.. :-) All the books I have say a red stripe, no description to what color of red. Maybe a dealer or factory manual can help..

Just spent 15 minutes...

...looking in my 1978 Assembly Manual...
No luck. :(

I checked under Accent Stripes, Custom Two Tone Paint, (563, 551)Decals, Exterior Paint (color combos, paint charts, ext/int w/ trim colors...) and Wheels and Tires...and I can't find anything that says anything about the Pace Car.
Perhaps that info is in a separate printing? Mine has info for the usual 1978s and the Silver Anniversaries (which mine is).
Sorry.
Heidi

I just looked it up in my NCRS judging manual, and it says; "Limited Edition Pace Car wheels are more highly polished, and do not have a black center section or cap. Only the insert in the cap is black. The rim of these wheels has a red painted (not tape) stripe." It did not mention a paint code. Hope this helps!
