1979 Electric cooling fan

Did all 1979 Vettes come with an electric cooling fan. I recently purchased my first C3. I have read articles about the cooling fans. The reason I ask is mine does not have an electric fan, should it have? Or was it an option.

from what Ive found,apparently it was standard with the L-82 engine.It May have an option for the L-48.heres a link for you!!!!

Thank you Sir, mine is indeed an L82 so that explains a lot.
