Very Nice.:cool Now I'm thinking rag top on the 82:_rock I wonder if body flex would be an issue:confused

Cool!

That is exaclty (well almost) what I have been dreaming up for a trailer. Mine will have a seat in the front, a pop up sun shade, and a few other goodies.

How about a couple of outlets for the Blenders:L :L :L :L

Leon,

That baby would've gotten a work out at the SharkFest!

Is that a C4 instrument panel? :cool

No, the C4's were digital, but I think I know what you are thinking... That 165 speedo is not the typical one that's sold today. I don't think I've ever seen one like that. I'd just be a bit nervous about the accuracy and the actual mileage of the car (if it matters to the buyer).

Is $10.6K a good price? Sounds about right, but maybe a tad high...

I have been hearing a lot about blender action and happened to stumble onto this while surfing the net... I mean... everyone needs a to be able to mix a margarita with thier corvette... haha!

A friend of mine broke out the gas blender when we were out on his sail boat. The electrical system on a sail boat can't handle the current necessary for a strong blender, so he went gas. You should see the looks coming from other boats and nearby islands when he fires the thing up. A must have for any occassion. ;)

no flex...or not noticable

I have a 1977 that was 'convertibalized'. I have never noticed any flex within the frame.

If you don't mind me asking vmrod, what was the approx. cost when the dust settled?

Carlo

I have no idea. It was 2-past owners ago. I think I remember $5k, but not really sure about it.

I picked up my car 9 years ago for $4,500.

Would it be worth it

I would love to have a convertible.
I leave my tops off all summer just to get the open air feel.
Fact is, I just couldn't justify spending 5 grand getting it done.
I'd have to get a loan, basically re-buying the same car.
Another payment to an already payment strapped individual.
Not to mention, the WIFE would NEVER fly with that one.

Maybe - If I accidently slip in the garage with a running chain saw and somehow (by luck of course) I was O.K. but when I slipped the CORVETTE saved my life by holding me up, but unluckly I managed to cut the top off.
NOW I HAVE TO GET IT DONE!!!!!:D :D :D

It is expensive. Although my car still has a lot of stuff to do to it. I'm sure glad that it's already convertible!

Here is something to yank your crank.

My coworker's husband has a 1974 four speed small block with AIR (CONVERTIBLE) that has a 1981 body conversion. Long story short, it looks like your car, is emission exempt in most states, has a four speed, air, and..................it is a rag top. He will let it go in the $10,000 neighborhood. I wish I had it, but three vettes right now, and none I can really sell.

I would love to see it go to a good home to somebody here on CAC.

So, go to the bank, get a loan, buy a peanut air fair to Florida (the weather is great here right now), hang out with me for a day or two, and drive the rag top home. Then, sell yours and put the money back in the bank. See, it is a perfect plan!
