I have a stock exhaust system (Original Cat) in which everytime I think of what I'm gonna do with it, it frustrates me. 1. I could just put a Free flow cat on it. 2. Put a test pipe in place of the cat.(Of course everytime I have to get it inspected I have to replace it with the cat). 3. Put the true duals on with NO cats and let her breathe. Problem is how do I get it inspected in Pennsylvania? I have regular plates but am Emmissions Exempt cause I only drive a few miles a year . Its my understanding that removing catalytic convertors is against the federal law. Was wondering if any Pennsylvanian or similar state restrictions members have true duals with no cats and get their vettes inspected? Thanks for any input!:Steer :Steer

It's my understanding that high-flow cats aren't as restrictive as you might think. So perhaps true duals with high-flow cats would work nicely.

But if your inspections require you to keep the 2-1-2 system (as opposed to true duals with cats), I've seen some custom systems that use a 3" single pipe from the manifolds to the cat. The cat had a dual rear outlet; i.e., 2 pipes from the cat back to the mufflers. Pretty slick!
