1982 Collector Registry ?

Does nayone know of a Collector Edition Registry around that works ? I tried the links, and they seem to all go to one place, and fail. The guys i had signed up with (way back when) and have a sticker on my windshield from, only seem to exist as a P.O. Box. I wrote there a couple of times, but havent really heard too much from them. Wouldnt it be interesting to know how many of the 6759 '82 CE's still exist ?

Same Collectors Edition site

This is the same tech. site but a different address. All the other options are gone. My 82 CE only has 11,000 orig. miles on it. I need as much help as I can get when it comes to keeping it perfect. Good Luck.

Thanks Jandj, looks like th guy just threw the hands up and walked out.. Ah well, if you know this thing to come back up let me (and the others here) know.. Mabe Rob wouldnt mind hosting it here as a Sub to the C3 Thread ? We shall see..
11k ? Wow dude. It was too late for that when i bought mine, it had already had 73k on it.. I saw it click over once, but, who knows with a 5digit, could be on 200k now.. I dont really care, as i LOVE driving that baby. 10 years+ and i still grinn when i walked up to it.. Keep it nice though, to balance out mine

Hi everyone,

Glad to see there's some discussions going on regarding these great cars. I have a 82 CE with 6400 original miles, still has the original tires, non-discolored original exhaust system, I have won every show I entered this year. Will be at Carlisle, hope to meet some other CE owners

Excellent Robert. I checked the site, good start..
Let us know how things go, and if you need info or something. Also, In the History section in the CAC is a great bit of info on the CE's. Though i had mine for 10+ years, i just found out they were setup to run at 87 Octane.. Huh ? Now, not that i will switch or something, but it made me think, maybe thats why she is running a little warm all these years.. I keep giving her 93 (94 if available).. She was setup in Germany for even higher numbers, in Europe we have 95/97+ Octane levels, Shell just came out with a 100 Octane (YIKES!), although the government is not sure if that needs to be added as a feature in the Title (Anything that provides more than 3% more ooompph has to be added to the official papers and approved by the TÜV, the Inspection guys).. Let me know what you other 82CE guys/gals put in yours..
Once i figure out how to make a Sub to the C3 Forum, i'll throw something up (seeing Rob doesnt mind, Thanks man!), and maybe just post some more Threads in there, like Links to Registries (rather then a registry here). Let me know what you think should go there..
Whats with the low mileage thing ? Am i the only one driving mine ? I understand that you guys want to win prices with it and stuff, retail also, but dont you want to drive these beauties ?
Just my thoughts.. Guess the old two-camp is still going, one driving, the other preserving.. Everyone has their own thing.. :cool
