1982 Collector's Edition - windshield wipers won't work.
Has the complicated "pulse" wiper set up.
Replaced the switch on the dashboard. Took the cover off the motor, examined the parts, looked for burnt resistors. Cleaned the connections, made sure they were tight. The wiper controller in the passenger side rear "box" appears to have been "messed with" previously. There's current there, incoming at least. The GM part number there is 14016250.....Eckler's doesn't show it in their catalogue.
Any thoughts out there?
Is there a way to bypass the controller, so the wipers are either "on" or "off" ??.......don't plan to drive it in the rain much anyway, but gotta pass Missouri safety inspection.
