1984 Air cleaner housing

Hello,

I have a quick question, how do you remove the bottom part of the air cleaner housing in a '84 vet? Checked the car out today and found a small mouse nest on the manifold, under the air cleaner housing. So I take the air cleaner top off, but can't see whats stopping the bottom section from being removed.
Maybe a dumb question, seeing as I have owned the car since new.
Thanks for your help, Al

There are two bolts on each injector. (On the side of the large holes) then a hose that goes to the valve cover. Press on the sides from the inside of the air cleaner. Then once you pull up on the air cleaner, there are (If memory serves) two vaccuum hoses that you pull on and they will come loose.

Thats all....

Thanks for the help. I will get out the the garage and give it a try.

Like above info, but i have a manual shift vette. I have only one vacumn line, one valve cover vent line, air intake rubber type hose mounted in front, and heat vent on drivers side.

Thanks Doug for the additional information. Just got back from picking up oil and filter, will be changing them today (if it does not rain). After that I will be checking out the air cleaner housing.
Thanks, Al
