Hey, All
I have an '84 where I have been fighting a rough idle issue for years. So, today I had some free time and was playing around with the EGR test path in the factory manual. Turns out even at idle, I was getting vacuum to the EGR valve. I unplugged the vacuum line from the EGR valve and blocked it off--the car idles like a fine switch watch.
Now, my problem seems to be that my solenoid is bad. And of course, it's disco.
Has anyone found a suitable replacement for this part? If not, I may just get rid of the EGR system. I have been driving it around and it's not throwing any codes, which is a good thing.
Spring and Summer and looking better and better.
