1985 L-98 Electrical Help Needed:)

I have a 1985 L-98 and I am having some sort of electrical problem. It is happening more now then it use to, what seems to be happening is that my instrument cluster light isn't lighting up. About 4 years ago I had it sent away and rebuilt so I don't believe it is that. I can tell as soon as I get in if it will light up when I turn the key, because it works every time my dome lights works. If I open my door and the dome light doesn't work neither does my instrument cluster lighting. Please help.
