I have a 86 Corvette that I garaged and ran every winter. One time I went out to start it and it ran for a few minutes but would not accelerate and then died. It sat for a few years after that. I drained the gas and installed a new fuel pump and filter. I had got a code 54 on the center. Now it cranks and runs for a few revolutions but then quits. I can not get even a 12 on the message center engine light. Tried a new computer, no luck. I am getting no injector pulse. I have good spark and great cranking. Any ideas? John

my 85 acted similar...didn't get the fuel pump connectors on good enough...wouldn't maintain fuel pressure...have you tested your fuel pressure and does it hold.. ko eo...?:w

The fuel pressure is ok, now I am finding no signal for ground to the injectors, the computer checked out ok

seems to me there was something in the fsm about not getting 12.....i'll take a peek at half time....i'm assuming you have one...if not, you'll need it eventually...factory gm manual..:beer

I have the GM Corvette manual and a 1986 Mitchell Manual. What does fsm stand for? I got so frustrated a friend of mine now has the car and is checking it out. I will see him Monday to see how far he got. Nice weather heading out to do manual labor inn the yard. I will check back later. Thanks for your input.

If you are still having trouble, if you have spark and no injector pulse. have ignition module tested.

now I am finding no signal for ground to the injectors,
As mentioned above , check the ICM , if the ECM does not see the signal from the dist showing the engine is cranking over it will not pulse the injectors
Also
If the VATS module is playing up the ECM will not get the signal to pulse the injectors

installed a new fuel pump and filter.
Have you got the correct fuel pressure at the rail?
