My speaker grills on the dash are faded and have to be replaced or re dyed. Does anybody know how to remove them? ;shrug

Been a while. Did this on my 87. There are 5 screws that hold the dash pad on. Lower the tilt wheel as far as it will go. Three screws are all on the left side of the dash pad and under the front lip. There are 2 more on the upper dash pad by the central defroster vent. There are no screws on the right side of the dash.
The dash pad is held in place by spring clips up towards the windshield.
Sit in the passenger seat and lean toward the middle. Grasp the dash pad firmly and pull toward you.
I used fabric spray dye that I found at NAPA to tint the fabric covers brown to match/contrast with my tan interior.
Here is what it looks like out of the car.

I have the same project in mind for the spring. Just ordered the black speaker fabric on e-bay. Looks like a pretty quick job once the dash pad is out.
