At the gages fuse the Pink/Black (12 volt output) wire goes to a harness where all the devices I posted get spliced together with the Pink/Black wire. It appears the splice is about 1 or 2 feet from the fuse panel in a large
wiring harness. Not something you would think would fail.

The Pink/Black wire on the back of the fuse pane could be rotted away.

Water gets behind the fuse panel if you have bad weatherstripping.
or rodents have chewed on the Pink/Black wire some where from the fuse panel to the splice. :eyerole

Lay on your back and look at the back of the fuse panel and see if you can see the Pink/Black wire at the gages fuse and verify it's connected if you can. I know it's a wiring nightmare under there. :L

Did you say you touched the power probe to the pink/black wire at the DIC to power the bulb
turned the ignition On and you grounded the Brown wire but the battery indicator light still didn't
come on? Or was that fixed when you moved the DIC bulbs around?

Here's a Bubba fix until you can do more investigation on the problem.
I'm assuming the problem is between the gages fuse holder and where the Pink/Black wires are
all spliced together.

Get a fuse tap at the auto part store. This plugs into the original fuse holder socket but allows you to add
another circuit.

**********************************************************************************
You need to make sure when install the fuse tap it's oriented correctly so the fuse is
not bypassed.
**********************************************************************************
Connect the new circuit with a wire to any of the Pink/Black wires like the one for
the Battery indicator. This bypasses the problem and everything should work. :happyanim:
