1987 Wrecked Callaway for sale on ebay

That car is absolute garbage now :eek body & interior too - looks very weathered :(

At first glance & when I saw Florida, I thought it looked like Surf's car but his is an 88 - geezzzzz, I think the burnt one was better than that one - not good, as many of those parts are $$ to replace - look at the intercooler, rams horn / microfueler housing, hood, suspension, and of course, the body :(

sad...:( Ive emailed the seller. I will buy quite a few parts from that car if he sells. :)

Hey Josh what parts are you looking for? It does not seem that there is too much good with the car.

Jeez, could that guy have done ANY more damage. I bet he was puking :puke when he saw the damage. Bit of a shame really.

Anyone know what a rams horn and intercoolers alone would cost now....:cry

Think anything specific is still good :confused

The 4+3 was shoved so far back, it busted the trim out on the console :eek

One good thing, looks like it is now much easier to add oil;LOL

That car's condition is a bit depressing, he is right - the tree won :(

Well first Id like to check out the Dymags. Seconds, I'll pop all the Callaway badges off. The shortblock is probably gone but.....Id still like to see it. Id pretty much just like to pick the car over. The drivers side intercooler might be ok. etc etc.

Has anyone gone and looked at this car?

The motor definatly was pushed into the firewall and all that fiberglass is toast.
It definatly fixable but it will take ALOT of work.

worth the money??? If you could get it cheap :L

Hey Guys what is one Dynomag worth?

Lest say 2 of them from this car are good to go.

Forget the interior that is petty fixes! any 86-88 corvette interior parts will work.

what are 2 dynomags worth?

Dymag values are tough to peg. myself and a couple others have picked up a spare set for less than the 8 grand some have advertised complete sets of four at. Dy's on that car cannot be valued sight unseen, esp the way the rest of that car looks :w

Ok for arguments sake if three of them are in perfect shape haha

what are they worth? $1500-$2000 each?

No way are they that much I got a set fot a friend that needed refinishing for $1500 so the is way overpriced no way are those wheels worth $4500 The sets I have seen sell for 2 grand for Perfect wheels.

Ok thats what I figured who has dynomags isted for 8K I figure they still have them listed for sale!

But As they are quite a rare wheel If I had them I wouldnt give them away.

I have a member going to check out the car and get some better pictues and the all important undercarage question!

I know its damaged just how much.

A good donor car would be in order here and I just scraped a striped ZR1 that had a good fire wall:eyerole

Well, you callaway owners are creating a market for these wheels and cars. You gonna push me out of the price range I could afford and will never be able to own one. Then I'll have to buy a ZR1.
:L

Phrogs there are parts that that car is missing that are no longer available .Intercoolers ramshorn ect just to name a few . That car would cost far more to repair than it would ever be worth. Even with a donor car thae frame has to be cut to fit the turbos and reinforced wonderbar and other parts not making it worth while. The DYMAGS are a good wheel and are rare but to find another to complete a set is even harder that finding a whole set. I just think its such a shame to let that car go at least the callaway part that is...

A donar car is very easy to come by but as you guys have mention and as surf and informed me the callaway parts are jst to may...

I will still hold the torch for this untill after the auction and when surf if he goes and looks at it gives his assesment since he knows callaways and what other parts are done that we can not see...
