1990 corvette 6 speed clicking sound under hard acceliration

clicking sound under hard acceliration mostly when im in the top end of a gear sound like its coming from the passenger side rear its loud and the car vibrates. is it more likly wheel bearings? u joints? any ideas where i should start looking?

Easy to find out...

jack that wheel off the ground.

Grab the wheel at the 12:00 and 6:00 position and try to wiggle in/out.

if you feel any movement the bearing is worn and suspect. if you can see movement, its trash and must be replaced immediately. Also LOOK at the 3 torx bolts on the backside of the spindle where the axle shaft runs to the hub/spindle. Make sure those 3 bolts are there and look like they are run in all the way.

next grab the wheel at 3 and 9:00 This tells you about tie rod ends, toe rob inners, and strut bushings. If there is ANY movement there, investigate.

The rear end has a much tougher life then the front even though the front does all these tricks with wheels turning, leaning and such...
The rear wheel has to withstand several hundred ft lbs of torque forcing it to roll, but NOT twist, turn, lean or do ANYTHING other than roll....it ain;t that easy ! and still allow it to move up/down for suspension.

Spin the wheel while its up. You can also reach in and try to wiggle the half shaft. Turning it should reveal the noise. You may have to get both rears off the ground to roll them enough.

when my 85 did this it was the u joints cheap and somewhat simple fix
