I just bought a 1990 Convertible and wanted to know if I can pressure wash the engine compartment without any damage or if there is something I should avoid. Any help will be appreciated.

Since you have the L98 you shouldn't have any problems. The thought of even a drop of water near my LT1 just scares me...........

I dont pressure wash my motor. I know it scares alot of the LT-1 guys, but it also scares me. I have seen many people stranded at the quarter wash because they pressure washed there engine. I try to keep up on under hood washing. It is very hard though. The only thing i used the pressure washer on with my car was the wheel wells. They were dirty and I thought I would give it a try. You can buy engine degreaser from any store, use it on the really dirty areas. After that I take a hot soapy towel, not a good one offcourse and wash under the hood. I guess I am just a nut about certain things. The most important step after you have everything clean is to drop the top and have fun.

You can't go wrong with the CD2 Engine cleaner set up. I don't even use the cleaner, I just spray the detailer on everything I can. Makes it's look great.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the help. Will send pics soon.
