1991 C4 white with red interior
Hello,

I have 1991 C4 with 74K. Runs great no issues. Had all fluids changed. It seems like after I drive and park it back in the garage I smell a burning oil odor. Sometimes it is not there and other times it is. I had the car looked at and nothing is leaking or issues can be found. Help, need advice where to start. Thanks

Auto or six-speed? Could be another fluid leaking on the exhaust even the rear differential. First thing to do is get under the car and check all the exhaust pipes for stains.

Good advice. This continues beyond any burn-off from possible spills after the fluids service?

I learned to look carefully in areas recently serviced, for untightened or missing parts :w

Two common areas to check/repair are:

Valve cover gaskets
Intake manifold seal at rear of block at "china wall".

Been there done both great results.

Good Luck,

Mike
